In classic #NYFW tradition, a hectic scene surrounded the Standard on Thursday as a day of fashion presentations was under way. As one would expect from a brand graduating to the catwalk, there was a particular furor surrounding the Chromat A/W 2014 show’s runway debut. An anticipatory crowd of young stylists, bloggers, editors, and groupies, in their fluorescent fashion week costumes, readied themselves to view the hot new collection and mine it’s gems for their fall fashion spreads. In the middle of the ruckus, Joseph Talman and I perched in a pit of photographers and watched the event unfold. To everyone’s delight, the collection seemed a beacon of light (literally) and proved Chromat’s leadership in the techno fashion movement that many are excited to delve into. Though the show was only 20 minutes long, Chromat confidently strutted its designs into a new era for this ever evolving brand. Here is what we captured.
