Frida Kahlo, Her Photos is an exhibit currently on show at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California. Curated by Pablo Ortiz Monasterio, the the exhibition features over 200 images from Kahlo’s archive found at her home Casa Azul in Mexico City. The photos serve as a deeply personal look into the artists’ life, showing her candidly enjoying time with her friends, her lover Diego Rivera, and her dog. The photos span across a broad timeline that leads up to her death where she continued to paint in her bed-ridden state, showing a more vulnerable side of a woman who was otherwise know for her strong presence. The exhibition will be on show thru June 8th. Visit the MOLAA website for tickets and more information.
