Raised in San Francisco, Daniel Gordon has taken a unique approach to photography. He composes colorful, matisse-esque still life photographs, out of carefully lit 3-dimensional collages. The result leaves you wondering what medium the allusive images are made of. Daniel Gordon has paved a name for himself in the photography world as one of the leading contenders of a medium that has been continually redefined over the decades. His notable group exhibitions include New Photography 2009 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and Greater New York 2010 at MoMA PS1. He is currently represented by Wallspace in New York City, and lives and works in Brooklyn. See more by Daniel Gordon his website.
